Welcome to the first Trip Around the Blogosphere in 2008! This is also my first post after a long (for this blog, at least) hiatus. I took some time off for the holidays and to re-prioritize my committments to avoid burnout. Anyway, you can expect me to return to a regular posting schedule now. Though it will be a few times a week rather than a few times a day. In 2007 I was overtaken by tunnel vision and in 2008 I want to branch out a bit.
Anyway, this trip is especially long because of the long hiatus and great material. Many bloggers have taken off at a run in 2008 and here are just a few of the killer articles published so far.
Rich at Business Opportunities Weblog posted a kickass list of free online business courses. Business is the missing link for me so I will definitely be checking these out.
Yaro Starak from Entrepreneur’s Journey discusses the importance of outsourcing in depth. If you are looking to succeed or grow your business at all, I highly recommend reading this article - twice.
Andy Beard discusses the new Google referral terms. This in depth article explores the pros and cons (for both Google and those who use Adsense) of two major changes: incentive cutbacks and country restrictions. If you use Adsense you definitely want to read this article
January is a big time for setting goals and stretching potential. My favorite female blogger, Liz Strauss (if you don’t read her, you ought to), has a terrific post about How to Make Your Dreams Come True. With strong law of attraction overtones, Liz breaks down the process of turning dreams into realities. Very motivational!
Steven Snell, guest posted at PureBlogging with a must-read for any of you considering managing multiple blogs. Steven breaks it down with a solid list of advantages and disadvantages to stretching yourself out a bit (or a lot).
I read several non-bloggy related blogs and one of those is Violent Acres. A couple of weeks ago she ranted about excuses.
If you are a writer of any type, be sure to catch Life Hack’s Tips and Tricks for Distraction Free Writing. I love the idea of making an old laptop a dedicated writing machine - I think I have just the machine for the job.
And that’s that. Hopefully the terrific writing so far this year is a preview of a killer 2008 for bloggers.
