We all know that it is becoming nearly essential to include video on your blog. Those who do it are most likely to succeed. I got myself a little webcam and I’m going to be creating some videos of my own. In the meantime, I will post various videos related to blogging, internet marketing and person productivity.
Today’s video features Jack Humphrey discussing the most popular post on his blog. A true traffic guru, Jack is the author of The Authority Blackbook and also runs Friday Traffic Report, an excellent blog. In this video, Jack shares how the most popular post on his blog brings in more than $400 a month.

I agree video is important. One of the most effective bloggers doing it in my opinion is Darren Rowse over at http://www.problogger.net. He has even run a couple of videos on making videos if I recall right.
I did a post not so long back from common craft showing how they were using simple video to illustrate complex techniques. I don’t know if you saw before it or not on your last visit. It was entitled “the power of how to” http://www.bradsotherblog.com/?p=39 I am thinking of using a similar technique to explain some concepts in wordpress 2.5 like gravatars, or even other avatar widgets like MyBlogLog.
What I would really like to make is the video that adequately explains how a page getting a dozen unique hits a day only manages 1 independent comment over a week. That would likely become the staple of every fledgling blogger to watch and link too just to make themselves feel better.
That’s a fantastic video from Jack. Thanks for sharing, Sara.
I can’t wait to see your video blogs. They can be hard work to do, but they’re also a lot of fun.
P.S. It looks like your blog theme went a little crazy again.

Brad:
Those newbie videos are very cool. They could save many people from looking really stupid their first time posting on a forum. You know, that newbie who gets blasted.
Someone says: “I created a linkbait and sent it to Digg, but I’m not sure the anchor text was right but then my pagerank went up so I figured Shoemoney’s post was right after all.” And the newbie writes back: “What’s linkbait? Who’s Digg? Can someone please explain the purpose of anchor text? What is a pagerank? Who’s Shoemoney?”
And he accidentally sends it four times because he isn’t sure it posted right.
Then the entire forum attacks him and sends him snotty links to Wikipedia and ask.com. I think beginner videos could really help alleviate some of that.

I’m not sure how soon I’ll be getting videos together, but I have everything I need. Thanks for pointing out the theme problem, I’m working on getting it fixed.
