I am not in any way anti-male. Aside from my best friend, I would choose to hang out with a man over a woman nearly 100% of the time. However, I thought this post from Missives from Suburbia was interesting. It turns out that having a husband adds work to a woman’s schedule while, logically enough, simultaneously lightening the workload of her husband. I don’t honest thing people should stay single - I just find the facts entertaining. A quick warning before you jump over to the full post, the graphic includes profanity (gasp!):

Having a husband creates an extra seven hours a week of housework for women.

I, as a male, am also beginning to think that having a GF might not even be worth it. I pay so much money on her… buying her dinner, buying her presents, driving her around. Not to mention the time spent… could be spent doing much more productive things.

Edward - I definitely understand the urge to have a GF. =)

James - Maybe you should just date a girl with a job. lol =D

There is no doubt about it that single life is the best way to go. No one to answer to and you come and go as you please.

    Are you guys SERIOUS?

I get MORE motivated when I’m in a relationship. My GF becomes my muse, my inspiration, my reason to create and build.

It’s easy to think it’ll be so hard to have a GF if the only girls you’ve been with have been overbearing or demanding.

And Sara, I agree about telling James “you should just date a girl with a job”

    lol!

    Mike,

I totally agree with you. When I am in a healthy, fun relationship I am much more productive and creative. Not that I am not otherwise, it just seems to give me a bit of a boost. I think you’re right about the type of girls these guys must be dating. Sounds like they have been used for money and pushed around. Time to find a better brand of GF.
