Like sands through the hourglass so are the days of our blogs. A bit cheesy, yes. But painfully true. Time seems to move faster in the blogosphere. When you think: “Hey, that’s a good idea. I’ll do some research tomorrow” in relation to a blog post, it’s like saying, “Hey, I think I’m bleeding to death, but I’ll just have that checked out next week” in the real world. Despite this, some bloggers never fail to be original and timely with their posts. This week it seemed like each time I wondered about something there was an article posted giving me the information I needed. Here are some of those articles.

  • Jamie Harrop has been cranking out some really great articles lately. My favorite this week was 20 Ways to Get More Blog Comments. It is truly excellent and would be helpful to bloggers at any level.
  • Tisha Kulak from CreditorWeb guests at Successful and Outstanding Bloggerers with Careful Credit Card Management for Small Businesses. It’s short, but full of concise advice on keeping a tight reign on your business spending.

  • Problogger discusses the new Amazon Associate Carousel Widget. I was going to write about this myself, but Darren’s explanation is spot on so I figured there was no reason to “metoo” him. The widget is very cool so you really ought to try it out. If you aren’t an Amazon Associate, it is very easy to sign up and can be quite lucrative.
  • One of my favorite recently-found blogs is Awaken Your Superhero with Christopher S. Penn. Christopher is a great writer and a very original thinker. Last night he wrote a post about Andrew Baron selling his Twitter account on eBay. It’s an excellent article discussing the selling of personal information, especially since Christopher has first-hand knowledge of this practice. I imagine we will see much more sales of Twitter accounts in the coming months and this article brings up some great points.
  • I’d like to end this week’s Trip with a special message and request for my readers. This isn’t about a post, but it is important. Jason Marshall, one of the contestants on last year’s The Next Internet Millionaire, is a full-time aide for a boy named Petey who suffers from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Now nearly 13, Petey’s disease has progressed to the point where he is wheelchair bound. The problem is, Petey is housebound as well because a special van is needed for his wheelchair.

In order to raise the money to buy a van for Petey and his family - he has eight siblings and a single mom - Jason has put together a huge package of information products and software from all the big names: Mike Filsaime, Joel Comm, Stanley Tang…Just to name a few. For a small donation ($47), you can purchase this package: Petey Power. If you can’t afford $47, consider making a smaller donation if you are able.

I get absolutely nothing for writing about this, I just think that it is a good cause. If I can get just one person to help out then it is completely worth posting this.

Hope you enjoyed this week’s Trip Around the Blogosphere. If I missed your blog or the greatest post of all time, just leave a comment and I’ll check it out.

Selling a Twitter account on Ebay? Wow. What can be bought and sold on the Internet these days never ceases to amaze me. And, yea, your opening comment was a tad cheezy. But hey, you gotta write something!
