I know I have mentioned Quality Host Online* many times before, but I have to offer up a dedicated rave review to these guys.

In the past few months I had been kicking around the idea of selling up for a reseller account. It’s something that Vic Franqui highly suggests for those of us who have a ton of websites. The other options are to either (1)set up separate hosting accounts for each domain or (2) set up each domain as an add-domain with one main hosting account. My current setup was #2.

Finally in the last few weeks I decided it was time to switch over before my domains got out of control. I currently have about 25 domains and plan to double or triple this within the next six months.

My experience with Quality Host Online has been nothing but terrific, but I’m a comparison shopper so I did a bit of research. Not only were QHO’s prices better - especially with their current Reseller Blowout Sale - but I already knew their service and customer service were excellent.

I have read a lot about reseller hosting accounts so I had a fairly good theoretical knowledge base, but as far as putting things into practice, I am definitely a novice. The guys at Quality Host Online have been absolutely fantastic. I can literally email them 24 hours a day 7 days a week and count on a reply within minutes. Lately I have been working at night and sleeping during the day so this has been a major help.

Not only that, but they have talked me through the setup process, making it (so far) painless. My domains are registered with three different companies so this could have been a total nightmare, but because of the in-depth instructions I was given it was a breeze to get everything set up. I even ended up transferring a couple of my domains over to QHO for registration. That is definitely not the easiest process in the world, but their clear instructions and hand-holding emails made it all go smoothly.

I’m not sure how I’m going to proceed with the reseller account as far as setting up and managing hosting for other people. At this point I plan to set up a couple of friends. I was thinking that I might run a contest to give away from free hosting accounts. Would anyone be interested in that?

I’d just ask for a linkback and then randomly choose a few people to have free hosting for a year. I could even get their Wordpress blog set up or something extra. Would you guys consider that a prize worth linking for?

In the meantime, definitely go check out the packages already available at Quality Host Online. They are inexpensive, the uptime is great and the customer service is up there in the top three of any IT company with which I have ever worked.

A couple of times recently I have mentioned a great product that is about to launch. The product is a high-end, all-inclusive podcasting course called My Podcasting Tutor. The launch date hasn’t yet been set, but if you sign up for the email list you’ll receive a great introductory email course and be notified when the big product launches.

That said, I need your help. You see, we are trying to come up with a definitive, concise definition of the word PODCAST. We’re looking to write what Mark Joyner would call a Touchstone. Here is the current working definition:

“A podcast is an audio or video file uploaded to the internet to share with people who are then able to download and listen to it at their convenience.”

So what do you think? Is there anything essential missing? What would make the definition clearer or more concise? It still seems a bit awkward to me and I’d really like your feedback.

Any comments are greatly, greatly appreciated!! So appreciated, in fact, that I’ll send each person who comments a free version of Peter Tremayne’s ebook Zero to Fifty in 30 Days. The e-book is a 6-step plan that shows you how to start with nothing and start making $50 a day within 30 days. It’s a great little system and I know you’ll really enjoy it.

Please, let’s get those comments rolling in…

Team Work Pays

Posted in Make Money Online, Referrals

The Team Work Pays Program is not generally something I would sign up for. At first it sounded a bit too chain-letter-ish for my liking, but when Google returned no scam information about it, I thought, “What the hell.” It was so inexpensive I decided to give it a shot. And, you know, I’m glad I did. Though it’s not going to make me rich, it’s fun to get $3 payments to my Alert Pay account a few times a day.

Here’s how it works. There are five ads displayed on the main Team Work Pays page that is created for you. The first ad is yours and the other four are other random members of the program. You send each of these people $3 using Alert Pay or your credit card. Then, you pay a $2 admin fee to join the Team Work Pays program. $17 total is much cheaper than most of these types of programs and I thought it was worth checking out. Oh, and if you don’t forward it to eight friends within fifteen minutes you’ll have bad luck for 18.6 years. Okay, that last part was a joke because my explanation started to sound a bit convoluted.

Moving on…

The sign-up process takes 15-20 minutes because you need to pay each person directly to their Alert Pay account. It’s a bit annoying at the time, but you’ll appreciate it later when you get paid directly to your Alert Pay account. Once you’re all paid up, you just advertise your Team Work Pays page. It’s that simple. You won’t ever pay another cent and every time someone signs up under you, you get $3 in your Alert Pay account. Plus, your ad is also randomly rotated so even if no one ever signs up directly from your link, you’ll still probably make a profit.

Again, this isn’t one of those programs that is going to make you rich, but it’s yet another income stream. And that’s really the idea when it comes to making money online: get as many passive income streams set up as possible.

If you are ready to give it a try, here’s the link one more time:

You can say it’s not true, but women in business almost always have more expected of them than men. Though we have broken out of our housewife chains and either stayed home by choice or ventured out into the business world, we are still expected to take on the role of homemaker regardless of our other committments.

Earlier this month, Charly Leetham and Carol Deckert launched the Ladies in Business Interview Series. You can listen to the interviews live as they air. Though it is half over, you can catch the last four interviews if you sign up now. After that, you will have the option to buy all eight interviews in the series (and a bunch of bonuses), but I’ll get to that in a minute.

This series shines the spotlight on women who have managed to create successful businesses without losing their personal lives - or their sanity! Going beyond your standard Q&A, these interviews will be in-depth examinations of how these women started out, challenges they met on their journey and how they achieved the level of success they have reached today.

The women being interviewed are all from different fields, so you’ll get a nice cross-section of information. Here’s a quick overview. Remember, the first four
interviews have already been conducted so you’ll have to purchase the package if you want to hear those:

  • Sharon Tieman - September 16: Madame Marketing and author of “If I’m So Successful, How Come I Never Get To Be On Top?”
  • Robbie Motter - September 17: Speaker, Coach, Public Relations and Marketing Specialist and expert in the Government marketplace
  • Donna Cutting - September 23: Author of “The Celebrity Experience: Insider Secrets to Red Carpet Customer Service”
  • Paula Constantino - September 24: Founder of Women’s Support TEAM
  • Lynn Terry - September 30: Internet Marketing Expert and Work At Home Mom
  • Heidi Richards - October 7: Author, Business Coach & Entrepreneur
  • Felicia Slattery - October 8: Teacher, Trainer, Speaker, Writer, Consultant & Coach who specializes in training busy professionals to succeed through effective communication.
  • Janet Beckers - October 14 The Wonderful Web Woman, started her business from nothing in just 8 weeks and exceeded her previous years full time income in six months!

And there you have it. A very impressive line-up of women who definitely know their stuff. Now, for those of you who have missed the first four, I’ll tell you a bit about the package that will be released after all the interviews are completed.

Priced at $97, the package includes all 8 interviews in MP3 format, full transcripts of each interview and a key point summary of all the major items covered in each interview. I recommend listening to the remaining four when they air so you can decide if purchasing the whole package is something that sounds right for you. And when you do decide to buy, I’d love it if you’d do it through this link:

Michael Moore packs Seattle's Key Arena during his "Slacker Uprising" tour

I don’t usually get political on this blog and I don’t intend to in this post either. I am just, objectively and without sharing my opinions, letting you all know that Michael Moore has made his newest film, Slacker Uprising available for free to U.S. and Canadian residents. You can download it in a variety of ways or stream it. You can also request a DVD copy for $9.95.

Download Michael Moore’s Slacker Uprising

This film follows Michael for 42 days on a tour around the country, bringing young voters together to rally against W. Regardless of your political views, you ought to enjoy following Michael on what he calls an experience that was both “inspiring and frightening.” Just over a month until the final Presidential election, the timing of this release couldn’t be more perfect. Of course, being the brilliant media mind that he is (oops…are my political views spilling out?), Michael Moore made sure the film was released at the time when it would matter most.

If you have trouble downloading, streaming or paying $9.95 for the DVD, contact me and I’ll burn you a copy. I imagine most of you can handle watching it on your own, but I wanted to offer this because Moore’s films are always important (oops…there I go again) and brilliant (aw, forget it!).
