A few months ago, Wendy Piersall took her hugely successful blog, eMoms at Home and branched it out into a blogging network with a brand new name: Sparkplugging. The reason behind this was that eMoms at Home had really outgrown its original moniker. Wendy had guest writers blogging about all sorts of work-at-home topics and eMoms just didn’t seem to fit anymore. So last April, Sparkplugging was born and, not surprisingly, it took off at a run.
Fast forward to today, just a few short months later, and Wendy and the Sparkplugging team have launched SparkplugU. Still in its early stages, SparkplugU offers classes at very affordable prices for people - like me and, if you’re reading this blog, probably like you as well - who want to learn more about a certain entrepreneurial/web business/blogging/etc. type subject.
Taking advantage of technology, from email to teleconferencing, these classes are taught by experienced professionals and range in price from a one-time fee of $19.95 for a 1.5 hour teleconference course to a four-part podcasting bootcamp for $39.95. If the growth of Sparkplugging itself can be used as a meter for how fast SparkplugU will grow, then I expect there to be a lot more courses added to the catalog in the near future.
I have applied to become an affiliate, but since I haven’t yet taken a course from SparkplugU I’m not officially promoting it yet. However, there are so many great courses available already, I didn’t want you guys to miss anything. Based on Wendy’s reputation for overdelivering, I’m willing to bet that these courses are worth way more than the small fees attached. Plus, they provide an excellent alternative to spending money on overpriced, under-informative ebooks and other information products.
You can expect to hear more from me about SparkplugU once I’ve taken my first class, but I want to leave you with a link to the blog post that inspired me to check out SparkplugU right away. Wendy Piersall’s personal story really is amazing and her experiences building a business online are what inspired her to create SparkplugU in the first place. So before you go check out the class schedule, I highly recommend you read Wendy’s post: Reaching Back Through Time to Help a Single Mom Living in her Parents’ Basement.

Its a great idea.
I have seen such utility and tool before but it was failed. I hope the best for SparkplugU because it has many good products and trainings. I can say that these are advanced level courses which even can cost more.
Very nice looking website, and original idea. Thumbs up for them. Waiting to hear more reviews before try-out. Thanks
I’ve been emailing my friends all day long to take a look at your text!!
Wow Its a great idea.
I am positive that I would be much better off if I had listened to the women in my life than men. For the most men, work soon transcends over life and life becomes a part of work, whereas for women work is always a part of life. Hence they make, contrary to popular belief, make more sound business judgements. It is as if women bring the passion of life to work. I believe we will hear a lot about the success of Sparkplugging in the not so distant future.

nice and informative and interesting too thanks for the post
Looks interesting… good monitization idea on their part.
Isn’t it amazing what a few changes can do? That is so cool that her site has grown that much. I like that the classes look to be pretty straight to the point, and how they can fit around your schedule.
