Clearly the Trip Around the Blogosphere is just not making it as a weekly feature anymore. I don’t have a lot of time to read blogs, let alone write about them. However, I do plan to continue the series, it will just be done on an irratic basis. I know this totally goes against my own practice of being consistent, but I just can’t promise a weekly Trip that’s actually worth reading. This one is, though, so please enjoy.

  • Avinash has written a very in-depth article to end his Competitive Intelligence Analysis series. The post, Google Insights for Search, is one of those that could be sold as a paid report. But that’s really par for the course for Avinash, he’s always handing out incredible information. Anyway, in this particular gem, he explains how to use Google Insights for Search to track the popularity of keywords over any period of time you’d like. Upon first glance, this tool is extremely overwhelming, but Avinash explains it in perfect step-by-step clarity. You may need to read through this post a couple of times to get the most from it, but it is definitely worth your time for the benefits this knowledge could bring your business.
  • Nirmal at Life Rocks 2.0 has a nicereview of QuarkBase, a new free service that mashes up a ton of data sources to give you a ton of information about any website you want to know more about. Or, rather, everything about. This site is seriously thorough from traffic to social networks, linkage and various rankings.
  • For those of oyu who use Photoshop, Balkhis has a great overview of 50 Photoshop short-cuts that could really speed up your design process.
  • Everyone has their own ideas about the most important things to be on top of in order to succeed as an internet marketer. Cenay Nailor recently posted an article explaining 4 Pillars of Marketing Success. Having been a freelancer online for quite some time, Cenay is definitely someone whose advice you can trust. One more post of hers from awhile that you ought to check out is: 7 Essential SEO Tools. Actually, why don’t you just subscribe to the Cenay Nailor feed. Her blog is always full of great, original information.
  • My favorite Young Entrepreneur, Jamie Harrop, has a pleasantly thoughful post on Taking Time for Contemplation. I always enjoy Jamie’s posts, but I especially like the articles he writes when he’s in a certain philosophical, storytelling mood. He has a great way with words that effectively puts you in the moment with him.
  • Cath Lawson has started a great conversation on her blog, Bold Advice for Business Success. She has asked readers about Social Media Sites of the Future. There is already a great discussion going on, so head on over and join in!
  • I want to end this trip with a link to the latest Freelance Freedom cartoon over at Freelance Switch. This series is produced regularly by N.C. Winters and I always enjoy it, but I think you’ll understand why I had to link to this one. If only the bunny slippers were pink!

As always, if you have a blog or specific post you’d like me to take a look at, please leave a link in the comments or use the contact form to send me an email. I’ll be happy to check it out and you just might get a free PR3 link out of the deal. Hope everyone has a great week!

I am interested with the photoshop short cuts. keyboard shortcuts have been speeding up my job as a data encoder and data gatherer. It could probably help in the shortening the design process.
