Directory BuzzFor those of you who are into link building, I need to tell you about this great free software that will help you organize your directory submissions. For those of you not into link building - um - I’m not quite sure why you’re reading this blog. But I’m glad to have you in either case.

The software I am talking about is called Directory Buzz. The software itself takes about a minute to download and install and you can get it for free if you join my list using the form on the right. –>

Directory Buzz is what I like to call a semi-automatic directory submission tool. Before you begin submitting, you enter all the information that most directories will ask for and save it as a “project” in Directory Buzz. Then, you begin submitting by clicking on a directory. That directory will pop up in the built-in browser and you will use the “fill” button to automatically enter all your information.

For most directories, at this point you just click submit and you are done. However, there are a few directories that require special steps such as creating a reciprocal link somewhere on the site you are submitting or choosing categories from a drop-down that didn’t have a category you added to your project.

Directory Buzz saves you time by eliminating the research you’d need to do to find all these directories and by entering all or some of your information. I prefer a semi-automatic directory submitter to an automatic submission software simply because this way I know for sure that my information was all filled in and accepted by the directory. The only way to beat this process is to hire a real person to submit for you and that can get pretty pricey.

Directory Buzz contains over 200 directories to which you can submit your website. You can organize these directories in various ways, but I prefer to organize them by ascending Google page rank. That’s one of the coolest parts f Directory Buzz, each of the directories also has its PR listed with it. That way, you know how much your links in each directory will be “worth.” The makers of Directory Buzz claim to update the directory list monthly and there is a button to update. Also, you can edit the directory entries yourself if you find a directory that goes offline or has a PR change.

The other great feature of Directory Buzz is that you can create multiple profiles. As internet marketers, I know most of you - like me - probably have more than one site for which you are trying to build links. This way, you can easily use the software for as many different sites as you need to by using Directory Buzz “projects.” This way, as you go from directory to directory, you can simply choose each project you are working on and submit them one right after the other using the auto-fill feature. This can literally cut hours from your submission time.

On the subject of multi-tasking, Directory Buzz will load as many as ten tabs in its built-in browser so you can be working through multiple submissions at a time. All your submissios are tracked so you don’t lose track of where you are if you close the application.

It’s a great little application and it has saved me tons of hours of searching. That’s why I thought I’d share it with you. So go ahead and enter your info on the form on the right to join my list. Once you confirm, you will be sent a link so you can download the software. I hope you find it as helpful as I do.
