Article Apps: A Free Online Article Spinner that Rocks

Matt Callen’s Article Apps is a free online article spinner. For those of you not familiar with article spinners, what they do is take one article and automatically (or semi-automatically) change various words, phrases and sometimes paragraph/sentence order in order to create several more unique articles. Basically it’s like an automatic rewrite.

Software like this is helpful for several reasons. First, regardless of how much attention Google pays to duplicate content (it’s a constant point of speculation), you want to have as many original articles out there as possible. Second, instead of spending hours rewriting one article, with a spinner you can spend a few minutes entering word/phrase choices and create a whole bunch of fresh-ish content.

If you read this blog regularly, you know I’m a huge fan of article marketing as a traffic source. I presented a case study awhile back in an article on How to Succeed at Article Marketing and I really think it is the best free way to get targeted traffic and backlinks to your site. Hands down, no contest, bar none, etc.

The excellent results possible through article marketing and the importance of producing and submitting original articles go hand-in-hand. Though you can submit the same article to all the directories, it is almost a waste of your time if you haven’t switched it up at least a little. For this reason, having a high-quality article spinning application available is extremely important.

In fact, I’d argue that (unless you can pay to outsource rewriting) an easy-to-use, feature-rich spinning software is imperative if you really want to use article marketing as a primary means of acquiring traffic, building your list, etc. The problem is that most spinning software is either (a) expensive or (b) only semi-automatic (meaning you basically end up doing most of the rewriting yourself anyway). Article Apps is as automatic as all of the other pricey article spinning applications out there, but with one exception: it’s free.

If you have never used an article spinner before, then Article Apps is a great one to start with. Not only does it have all the features (and more) of very expensive spinners, it is extremely user-friendly and has some important choices that can really save you time in the long run.

For instance, you can decide if you’d like to save your articles in HTML or plain text format. This might not seem like a big deal, but different article directories accept different formats. If you’re just submitting one article to one directory it is easy to make the necessary changes for your article to work within the given format. However, when you are submitting dozens of articles to dozens of directories, a small choice like this can save you a ton of time (and tedious manual labor).

Quickly I’ll mention that there is a paid version of Article Apps. Right now you can upgrade to the gold membership for 25% off for a limited time. Basic Article App members are allowed to spin up to 25 versions of an article (project) and download a few of these each day. Gold members have no limitations at all. Aside from the lack of limitations, I really like that the Gold Article App membership is just a one-time payment. Right now it’s $147, but it could go up at any time.

I thought the price seemed a bit steep at first, but then I considered the positives of having no limitations on this software. I could literally create hundreds of original articles, download them all (in HTML or plain text format) and be ready to post them to directories in just minutes. This would take days (or a lot of money to outsource) to do manually.

Both membership plans save you time and money, but if you’re willing to pay the one-time upgrade fee, you’ll save even more time and money in the long run. In the interest of full disclosure, I am still considering whether or not to upgrade to a Article App gold membership. I love this software and I know I’ll use it all the time, but I’m not sure if $147 software (or more) is in my budget right now. However, the regular plan is at least $199 or – when it switches to a monthly fee – $29.95 a month, so I might seriously regret it if I don’t jump on the one-time-fee offer while it’s still active.

To Gold or not to Gold aside, you’ll definitely want to check out Article Apps. I have never seen a free article spinning application that offers everything Matt has put together here. It is truly exceptional and I hope you’ll find it as useful as I do.
