I’ve been focusing a lot lately on finding a niche and I have a great resource list in the works that I hope to finish over the weekend. A couple of days ago I signed up for a great site that sends you a new niche idea everyday. You simply give them your email address and Niche a Day will email you a niche idea every morning (ish) with a keyword list including search counts.

Niche A Day is a completely free service and when you sign up you get two free reports: Niche A Day Info-Product Creation and The Top Ten Ways to Profit From Your Niche A Day. The second report elaborates on these ten great ways to use the niche ideas sent to you each day:

  1. Hire a ghostwriter to create an ebook based on a hot topic in the niche.
  2. Build and develop the skill of choosing profitable niches and quickly dominating them.
  3. Create a membership site that delivers a solution to an issue within a particular topic.
  4. Build a blog empire and monetize it with Adsense
  5. Build a community around the niche
  6. Create and monetize an article site
  7. Perform Adwords arbitrage
  8. Build a niche portal to monetize sites with Adsense
  9. Interview recognized experts in the niche and sell the audio files
  10. Create a niche-centered review site.

These are just the overviews of these ideas. For full information, sign up for Niche A Day and download the free report. For full disclosure purposes, let me just say that I’m not at all affiliated with Niche A Day (apart from being a subscriber). I just highly recommend the service. Also, if you sign up now you’ll also get a free copy of the Internet Marketing version of Camtasia.

  • Finding new niche ideas is something that a lot of marketers battle with. Especially when they are first starting out.

If you battle to think outside the box, then this simple Wordpress plugin for finding niches may be useful.

    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/the-frooglizer/

It generates 125 keywords at a time from Froogle. Many of which you may never have thought of.

    Good hunting.

    Cheers

I think it's a really cool service. Great list-building idea, too. Might take a bit of work to brainstorm and compile the information, but I bet their list is growing massively.
