For those of you Newsgator/Feed Demon users with a smartphone, you’ll be pleased to know that Newsgator Go is now free. I have been using Viigo and I love it, but I refuse to give up Feedgator and Newsgator so constantly having to import and export my OPML file to keep my desktop, online and Blackberry in sync was starting to drive me crazy.

So today I headed back to NewsGator to purchase their mobile application and discovered that the $24.95 price tag has disappeared and it’s not free. Either that or I missed something the last ten times I considered the purchase.

The mobile app is excellent. It has all the features of Feed Demon and allows you to easily add clips, email articles and open links in your browser. The only thing I’d change is that it doesn’t change screen orientation with my storm, only working in portrait mode. But, really, based on all it delivers, that’s no big deal.

If you use Newsgator and/or Feed Demon and you like to read your RSS feeds on the go, I highly recommend you download Newsgator Go. Finally I have a desktop, online and mobile trio of apps that work seamlessly together.

  • I am compelled to provisionally use another laptop and I desperately miss/need the feeds I used to have. Thanks everyone for all serious answers.
  • This would be a total of people subscribed through Bloglines, Google, Yahoo, MSN, Newsgator, and all the other various methods of receiving RSS feeds.
  • If you still have access to the other computer you can create an online account and sync your feeds from that computer to the online account. Then you can go the new computer and sync to the online account.

Today was rice day, fifty-pound sacks of white rice in trucks bearing an elephant logo. The same happy elephant appeared on the bags, its head raised to the sky, the trunk curved like an S.

    "Elephant," Todd said.

He said it because a laborer was staring at it intently. Which meant he wasn't working.

"That's right," the man said. "I couldn't remember the word."

He was the only other human at the loading dock this morning. The man didn't have a name, just a number, like the rest of the robots. Paris, at Night.
  • Hmm, that is interesting, I too had been considering that purchase for a while. It's funny because I have noticed several IM products as well that have dropped in price lately, BMD and others, I wonder if it's the economy issue.
