Market Yourself. That’s the tagline for the social networking website BizPreneur. As “the World’s Largest Business Entrepreneur Network,” Bizpreneur is essentially MySpace for business. Of course, MySpace can be used for business, too. However, with BizPreneur you don’t have to wade through all the unrelated, babbly muck to get to the business networkers.
BizPreneur is free but – as with most internet marketing-related sites – has an upgrade option. You can go gold for a one-time free of $59.99. Being gold gets you .01% of the after-tax value when BizPreneur sells. According to the site, if My Space had done this, members would have received $58,000 each. So, really, it might not be a bad idea to go gold.
If you’re familiar with My Space, then you’re familiar with BizPreneur. Really. It’s so similar it appears to be built on the same software: same icons, same customizability … it’s all there. I think this could really be a great resource and community for any sort of entrepreneur, but it does seem to cater to us online biz folks. Take ten minutes or so and poke around the site to see if it’s for you. I think it has a little bit of something for anyone running his/her own business.
