You can say it’s not true, but women in business almost always have more expected of them than men. Though we have broken out of our housewife chains and either stayed home by choice or ventured out into the business world, we are still expected to take on the role of homemaker regardless of our other committments.

Earlier this month, Charly Leetham and Carol Deckert launched the Ladies in Business Interview Series. You can listen to the interviews live as they air. Though it is half over, you can catch the last four interviews if you sign up now. After that, you will have the option to buy all eight interviews in the series (and a bunch of bonuses), but I’ll get to that in a minute.

This series shines the spotlight on women who have managed to create successful businesses without losing their personal lives – or their sanity! Going beyond your standard Q&A, these interviews will be in-depth examinations of how these women started out, challenges they met on their journey and how they achieved the level of success they have reached today.

The women being interviewed are all from different fields, so you’ll get a nice cross-section of information. Here’s a quick overview. Remember, the first four
interviews have already been conducted so you’ll have to purchase the package if you want to hear those:

  • Sharon Tieman – September 16: Madame Marketing and author of “If I’m So Successful, How Come I Never Get To Be On Top?”
  • Robbie Motter – September 17: Speaker, Coach, Public Relations and Marketing Specialist and expert in the Government marketplace
  • Donna Cutting – September 23: Author of “The Celebrity Experience: Insider Secrets to Red Carpet Customer Service”
  • Paula Constantino – September 24: Founder of Women’s Support TEAM
  • Lynn Terry – September 30: Internet Marketing Expert and Work At Home Mom
  • Heidi Richards – October 7: Author, Business Coach & Entrepreneur
  • Felicia Slattery – October 8: Teacher, Trainer, Speaker, Writer, Consultant & Coach who specializes in training busy professionals to succeed through effective communication.
  • Janet Beckers – October 14 The Wonderful Web Woman, started her business from nothing in just 8 weeks and exceeded her previous years full time income in six months!

And there you have it. A very impressive line-up of women who definitely know their stuff. Now, for those of you who have missed the first four, I’ll tell you a bit about the package that will be released after all the interviews are completed.

Priced at $97, the package includes all 8 interviews in MP3 format, full transcripts of each interview and a key point summary of all the major items covered in each interview. I recommend listening to the remaining four when they air so you can decide if purchasing the whole package is something that sounds right for you. And when you do decide to buy, I’d love it if you’d do it through this link:

  • Well its very inspiring post for the ladies. I will support you.
  • So true that women are required to do multiple things in this day and age. We have to be a "jack of all trades" so to speak. $97 kind of sounds high priced, but if you think of it as a little bit more than $10 per interview, and add in what information you're getting, it's priceless.
  • The point about these women succeeding in their business lives while not faltering in their day-to-day protocol is in fact the main point as that is a large achievement. It is like performing 1.5 times the standard load of an individual.

  • It's true, women have more expectations placed upon them then men. Know matter what, if a man and woman decides to have a child, who is the one expected to have full responsibility for that child? The women of course. Men don't even contemplate the thought, it's automatic.

If a women has a job and child to take care of not only does she have to deal with the everyday stress of proving herself worthy of a paycheck, if her child gets sick...good luck! She is now placed in a Catch 22. Does she take the day off to care for her sick child and be frowned upon by her supervisor or does she go to work and feel the guilt of not being a good mother?

I think it's awesome that these women share their personal experiences and challenges to help other women achieve their goals. Girl power!!
  • I am glad that I found your site. I found it so interesting and useful. You gave a lot of ideas. Thank you so much.
  • It sounds interesting. I heard that 35% of all corporate managers are women. More women need to get into business because I think we make better managers, we just need to believe in ourselves.
