Happy Sunday! This will probably be the last Trip Around the Blogosphere for the month of August. I’m going camping next weekend and plan to be completely PC-free from Thursday to Sunday night. I don’t think I’ve been off the internet that long since I first signed on at 15 fourteen years ago. Wow. So I hope you enjoy this week’s trip.
- Andrew Wee has a very motivational post about what I referred to the other day as “analysis paralysis”. He calls his study The Making of an Internet Entrepreneur and if you are concered that you don’t know enough about a niche to give it a shot, let Andrew convince you otherwise.
- John Cow Dot Com has another $500 Content running. All it takes is 200 words and a couple links and the $500, once again donated from their webhost, could be yours. I will certainly be entering later in the week.
- Google this, Google that. While it does account for nearly 50% of traffic, that leaves 50% of traffic for which it does not account. Court has a great article on how to optimize your site for Yahoo!
- Here’s some double link-love! Us WordPressers are always creating and installing plugins that make life easier for us, but what about the readers? Over at John TP, Nirmal guest posts about the Top 10 WordPress Plugins to Improve Readers Experience.
- Darin asks and answers the question: SEO or SEM – Which is More Important? For anyone who is not sure about the acronyms: SE is Search Engine. O is optimization and M is marketing as in Pay-Per-Click. Darin’s answer is important because he knows his SES. S is for … oh, you can figure it out.
- Tim at e-Monetize has a seriously cool contest going on right now. Four people will be awarded a free 125 x 125 ad on some guy named John’s site. You do not want to miss entering this one. There seem to be lots of entrants already, but you have four chances and it only takes one draw to win!
That wraps up this week’s Trip. I can’t promise to post very regularly in the next week as I have a serious deadline at work on Wednesday and I will be working at least 10 hours days until then. I hope these links will keep you busy.
