“Make Friends. Make Money. Make Sense.”
That is the tagline for the new social network ZenZuu. Before you click away because you have already joined more social networks than you can remember, hear me out about this one. I’m not going to try to sell you on it because, being a new member myself, I can’t really vouch for it’s authenticity. However, if Zenzuu does what it says it is going to do, then it is definitely worth becoming a free member.
Side Note: If you do decide to sign up, you can use my affiliate link: ZenZuu. If you do that, leave a message in the comments and I’ll include an article from your blog in next week’s Trip Around the Blogosphere.
When you log in for the first time, you fill out a profile much like you would on any other social network. Then you are taken to the Welcome Center. Here is a brief welcome message and then five different sections of navigation. At the way-top is Profile, Groups, Friends, Inbox and Log-Out. Under that is the main navigation bar that includes: Buy, Sell, Community, Welcome Center and Help (yes, please!). The other navigation bars are for viewing different customizable parts of the site, social networking features and then “Downline” and “Marketing.”
Yes, there is too much going on. I am overwhelmed. The worst part of it, though, is when I started clicking around, most of the buttons went to “This feature Coming Soon!” type pages. So, basically, they are overwhelming their members for no good reason. This makes me question whether all the promises of money-making are just bells and whistles as well.
How Do I Make Money with Zenzuu?
Zenzuu’s owners want to change the model of online social networks. Social Networks’ revenue is based on advertising. If it weren’t for the members, there would be no network and, obviously, no advertisers. With this idea in mind,Zenzuu’s free members will receive 80% of the advertising revenue. I would recommend you watch the introduction vidoe, but I barely made it through the over-excited bype myself. So I will quickly explain the multi-level marketing piece of ZenZuu.
- Free active members receive their own share of 80% of ZenZuu’s revenue. To be active, you must sign in 30 times each calendar month. You can choose to sign in once a day or 30 times in an hour, but you must sign in 30 separate times each month to remain active.
- If you sign up two other people to ZenZuu, you will get paid 10 levels deep. I can’t seem to find the commission percentage paid on referals on level 1-9, but I am guessing it’s less than 100% because…
- If you add ten people to your downline, you get paid 10 levels deep and you get a matching bonus on the tenth level. That means you get the same exact amount that your tenth level brings in.
ZenZuu is still in pre-launch mode, so it is not paying out right now. Until the officially launch in August 2008, you can get to know the site. The social networking features seem up to par so it shouldn’t be too hard to talk your friends on other social networks into signing up.
Though Zenzuu might be the next Agloco, it might also be the next MySpace. At this point, it is really up to us to join so it can work. I am definitely going to be staying on top of it and, since it’s free and does have potential, I have no problem recommending it to others as well. Join Zenzuu now.
